Selsey RNLI D-class Lifeboat 'Betty and Thomas Moore' left the current boathouse for the last time before it's demolished to make way for the building of a new boathouse to house the Shannon and the D-class together. The current boathouse was opened in 1987. The Lifeboat has moved to a temporary boathouse at the other end of the green.
